What Is included with the basic studio hire ?

Each studio includes the room sets, light stands, a steamer, speaker and access to a kitchen area w/c area . Extra lights are available to hire if you require.

The Loft room and SkyLight room include -2 lights of your choice either photo (strobes) or continuous lighting (for iPhone shooting, video & reels )

The Midi studios/ content rooms come with 1 light of your choice. For more details on the individual rooms please visit the studios section.

Is there parking at the Studio ?

There is free on street parking is available on Pollard Street East on the same side as the Mill ONLY . The free parking spaces are the ones directly in-front of the mill & pollard yard. The free parking stops at the 20mph hour road sign at the entrance to pollard yard. PLEASE EMAIL FOR A MAP OR ASK THE MEMBER OF STAFF ON YOUR SHOOT. After 6pm and at the weekend you can park either side of the street.

Is the Studio Dog friendly ?

Our studios are dog friendly. Due to the additional cleaning we have to do after a dog has visited we do charge a £20 Dog Attending fee. If you do bring dog into the studio without selecting it as an add on the client/booker will be invoiced for payment within 24 hrs of the booking ending .

Is there a lift up to the studio?

The loft studio on the 3rd floor has a goods lift . If you will be needing this please let us know beforehand so that we can help you load and unload. Please note on the rare occasion the lift isn’t working this is out of our control and we cannot refund/ rescheduled to this. If you have a lot of items please confirm with us whether the lift is working.

The other studios based in the Content hub (Skylight, Savannah,Ibiza,G.R.W.M) do not have lift access due to being in another part of the building. We are on hand to help with bags so please call us upon arrival if you have a lot of stock to bring up please contact us so we can arrange extra staff.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may reschedule your booking for the Loft room and the Skylight room with at least 5 working days notice.

You can reschedule your booking in the Savannah room, Victoria room and Walk in Wardrobe (Get ready with me) room with at least 3 working days. If you are within the rescheduling time frame you can log on an ammend your booking without having to contact us . Please note bookings are non refundable and can only be rescheduled once. If the correct notice is not given we are unable to amend bookings.

Damages?

We want your content to look as amazing as possible so we ask that clients to take care of the studio and are mindful of the space. Any damages made to the Studio, Furniture or equipment must be paid for by the booker/client. To keep damages to a minimum we ask that you ask a staff member to move the props. Incase of any damages or accidents Please ensure you have your own public liability & Insurance when booking as the booker is responsible for this.

Are the Studios quiet ?

LOFT ROOM - The loft room is the quiet studio this studio is on it own and we recommend booking this studios for interviews etc.

For the rooms located in the content hub we cannot guarantee silence each room is connected and has its own speaker. If you would like to book one of these rooms and you require it to be quite we suggest you book the whole floor.

Booking INFO :

A full day is an 8 hour booking (9-5pm, unless discussed previously).

Booking time includes clean up and pack down time. This is the time you will be let in and out of the studio.

Terms & Conditions

Studio Hire

These terms and conditions are for hiring the Studio(s). By agreeing to work with The Spot 101 Studio and booking the Studio(s), you automatically agree to our terms and conditions.

I. Definitions

In these conditions the following expressions have the following meanings:

  • “The Spot 101 ” – and any of the partners or any servant, agent, employee or sub-contractor on behalf of The Spot 101.

  • “The Customer” /“Booker”/”Client” – any person or firm or company dealing with The Spot 101 or any servant or employee of such a person, firm or company.

  • “Services” – shall include all Studio space or facilities and the services of drivers and assistants and other personnel of The Spot 101 or of any sub-contractor of the Company.

  • “Equipment” – shall include all fixtures, lighting and other materials provided by The Spot 101 or by its nominated sub-contractors.

  • “Studio” – the premises of The Spot 101 for the time being where the services and equipment are provided.

II. General

  1. These Conditions constitute the entire contract and may not be varied otherwise than in writing signed by a duly authorised signatory on behalf of Spot 101 .

  2. Full details of the The Spot 101 services and (non commercial) charge rates are set out on the Studio website. Prices and rates available on these pages and on the website may be varied by The Spot 101 without notice.

  3. the Customer shall inform The Spot 101  whether they require a member of The Spot 101 Creative Studio staff (at extra costs) to be on site to assist with equipment, lighting etc during the booking.

  4. Nothing in these Conditions is intended to exclude restrict or modify liability on the part of Spot 101 resulting from negligence or otherwise.

III. Studio Hire

  1. The Studio may be provisionally booked by telephone or email and the booking should be confirmed  (email or telephone) within 24 hours of the provisional booking. The Customer will be required to pay the full amount of the hire fee as confirmation of the booking or the booking will be removed.

  2. The Customer must observe all regulations governing the use of the Studio and of any Equipment and services whether imposed by Spot 101 or by any statutory body or Local Authority.

  3. The Studio is available for the exclusive use of the Customer named in the booking (and his party) and the Customer is not permitted to sub-contract, sub-let or otherwise permit any third party to utilise the Studio without the prior written consent of Spot 101.

  4. Any materials used in connection with sets constructed by the Customer as well as any rubbish shall be forthwith removed from the Studio at the end of the hire period at the expense of the Customer otherwise Spot 101 will have to charge for this.

  5. No alterations decorations or additions to the Studio are permitted without the consent of any partner Spot 101 and at the end of the hire period the Studio must be surrendered in the same condition that it was in at the start of the hire period. Any costs incurred by Spot 101Studio arising out of any breach of this Condition shall be paid by the Customer.

  6. The Studio is supplied clean at the start of the hire period and all the costs of painting, repairing and maintaining this state are payable by the Customer. The Spot 101 Creative Studio must be notified by the Customer at the start of the hire period if any aspect of the condition or decoration of the Studio is unacceptable. If no such notification is given the Studio will be determined to be of an acceptable standard for use by the Customer.

  7. The Customer must include set up, take down and clean up time within the hours booked, to avoid overtime charges. Over time is charged at £30 per hour for each studio used.

  8. Noise levels must be kept to a reasonable level during Studio hire bookings. Clients are asked to consider other occupants and neighbour residents when using the Studio.

  9. Dogs are allowed in the Studio (£20 dog attending fee applicable ) . All liability & responsibility of animals will be that of the client.

  10. No smoking is permitted inside the Studio or throughout the building.

  11. No illegal activities are accepted and anyone not compliant will be asked to leave and/or police will be called.

  12. Wellington House is fitted with CCTVs. Images are recorded for the purpose of crime prevention and the staff safety and they might be also stored to claim for any damages incurred during the booking.

  13. Please note that in the case of sound recording, due to our location The Spot 101can not guarantee absolute silence on set. If you do require this, please contact us first and we will do our best to accommodate

IV. Hire of Equipment and Services

  1. All Equipment and services are supplied by Spot 101 entirely at the risk of the Customer. The Spot 101 Creative Studio shall not be liable for loss or damage of any kind to material or props or equipment entrusted to it however caused including consequential loss and loss of profit. The Customer is responsible for any loss or damage to the Equipment or the Studio caused by or arising from the Customer use thereof or by any servant, agent, employee or sub-contractor of the Customer.

  2. All Equipment supplied to the Customer is in good condition. The Customer must notify The Spot 101 at the time of supply if the condition of the Equipment is not acceptable.

  3. In no circumstances shall The Spot 101 be liable for any transport cost or for any loss or damage including consequential loss or damage however caused arising out of the use or the inability to use the Equipment supplied or agreed to be supplied

  4. The Customer may not without the written consent of The Spot 101 :

    1. Remove the equipment from the Studio premises; or move props on there own.

    2. modify or alter or tamper with the Equipment in any way; nor

    3. use the Equipment in a manner not recommended by the Manufacturer; nor

    4. allow or suffer the Equipment to be used by any untrained or unauthorised personnel; nor part with possession sell pledge encumber or suffer any lien to be created on the Equipment.

  5. Where at the request of the Customer, Spot 101 supplies to the Customer the services of a driver, assistant, sub- contractor, freelance or other person such person shall be deemed to be the servant of the Customer and the said services shall be deemed to be rendered by the Customer and Spot 101 shall not be liable for loss or damage of any kind however caused.

  6. Spot 101 shall not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever arising out of any statement advice instruction or any other representation given or made by any servant of Spot 101 Creative Studio or any other person whose services are supplied to the Customer.

  7. The hire period for services or Equipment cannot be extended otherwise than with the consent The Spot 101 .

  8. Equipment must be returned promptly at the end of the hire period in good condition. The Customer shall pay or compensate Spot 101 for the replacement value (plus any  administration fee) of lost or damaged Equipment or in respect of any cancellation or variation of any order or failure to return the Equipment on time.

  9. The Spot 101 Creative will always where possible make sure that the studio is in a clean and presentable manner that is fit for purpose. We also require all clients to leave the studios in the same condition as they were found . Failure to do this or excessive mess left will result in a £25 cleaning fee billed to the client.

V. Payment and Additional Charges

  1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing all transactions will be settled in agreement with Spot 101 payment terms set out in our terms and conditions before the commencement of the hire period. Clients settle accounts within 24 hours of the booking.

  2. Overdue payments will incur interests at 15% per week or part thereof.

  3. The hire time commences when the agreed hire period start (with or without the Customer being present) and terminates when the Studio and/or Equipment is surrendered or returned to Spot 101 . Spot 101 will charge for additional hire hours at an hourly rate. Overtime charges are set at £30 per hour unless otherwise agreed in advance).

  4. Any additional Equipment, services, staff or modifications to the Confirmation of Booking shall be billed to and paid for by the Customer. This includes all refreshments from the fridge and any extra rentals.

  5. At the end of the hire period the Customer may be charged at the discretion of Spot 101 an additional fee where the Studio or any item of Equipment is delivered or returned to The Spot 101 in a bad or damaged condition. Anything damaged will be charged at full price plus 25% administration/restock charge.

  6. Where The Spot 101 Creative Studio is required to place a security deposit with any third party for the hire or acquisition of any item, equipment or construction material, such deposit shall be paid to The Spot 101 by the Customer in full when the booking is made.

  7. The price payable by the Customer shall be Spot 101 price for such goods and service current from time to time, as set out in the relevant Quotation, which shall set out prices exclusive of VAT.

  8. The Spot 101 Creative Studio shall charge interest at their discretion on any and all payments more than 30 days overdue from due date stated on the invoice. Interest amount shall be set at 20% per/month starting from initial due date.

  9. Spot 101 shall have a general lien on any film, tape, media or other equipment digital or otherwise or property in the possession of The Spot 101 Creative Studio or in the Studio premises for the payment of any monies due to The Spot 101 Creative Studio from the Customer.

  10. Customers must have their own public liability insurance. As you are left on set Spot 101 cannot be held responsible for injuries or damages to persons or equipment due to client negligence .

VI. Exclusions of Liability

Subject as herein before mentioned Spot 101 shall not be liable to the Customer for any loss damage expense liability or for any consequential loss (including loss of profit) whatsoever or howsoever arising out of or in connection with any of the following:

  1. any damage to or loss of property by the Customer or the Customers servants or agents or any third party.

  2. any breakdown stoppage or failure of the facilities and Equipment provided in the Studio or any other Equipment supplied to the Customer by The Spot 101 Creative Studio.

  3. any death or injury occasioned to any Customer or servant or agent of any Customer occasioned by the use of the Studio or any Equipment unless such death or injury is directly attributable to the negligence of Spot 101 or the servants or agents of The Spot 101 Creative Studio.

  4. for any fines and/legal costs incurred by Spot 101 or the Customer for any activity connected with the hire of the Studio or Equipment.

  5. any failure on the part of The Spot 101 Creative Studio to comply with its obligations to the Customer due to any circumstances beyond the control of The Spot 101 .

Spot 101 cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to any equipment or personal property of the Customer. Anything left at the Studios will be disposed of or given to charity if not claimed back withing 24 hours. No Client related property will be covered by any insurance held by Spot 101 . 

VII. Indemnity

The Customer shall at all times keep Spot 101 indemnified against all actions proceedings costs charges claims expenses and demands whatsoever which may be made or brought against Spot 101 or the servants or agents of Spot 101. by any third party in respect of any alleged injury loss damage or expense arising out of or in connection with the use of the Studio or Equipment or services supplied by Spot 101 even where such injury loss damage or expense is caused wholly or in part by the negligence or breach of contract of The Spot 101 its directors servants or agents save in respect of any death or personal injury caused by the negligence of The Spot 101 Creative Studio as aforesaid. The Customer must ensure that they have their own public liability insurance for all persons in the Studio during the hours of use, to cover any accident, injury or death.

VIII. Minors

The Customer must ensure that all minors under the age of 16 are always be accompanied by a chaperone. Minors must have parent’s or guardian’s permission to be at the Studio, and to be photographed or filmed as relevant.

IX. Booking Reschedule and Cancellations

Please see above in the FAQs section.

“Commercial Rate” is classified at discretion of Spot 101 depending on the type of shoot and the number of people within the booking.

X. Termination

The Spot 101 Creative Studio may summarily terminate any hire contract with the Customer upon the happening of any (but not only) of the following events:

  1. if the Customer shall fail to pay any of the monies due to Spot 101 or dishonour any cheque paid to it; or

  2. if the Customer enters into liquidation (other than for the purposes of amalgamation or reconstruction) or shall have a Receiver of its assets appointed or being an individual shall be declared bankrupt or having a Receiving order made against them; or

  3. if the Customer shall be in breach of any of the terms of these Conditions and any such termination shall be without prejudice to any rights accrued to The Spot 101 Creative Studio against the Customer prior to the date of termination

Spot 101 may terminate any booking or hire contract if the Customer is found to be in breach of any of the terms and conditions.

XI. Applicable Law

These Conditions shall be read and construed in accordance with the Laws of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
